Overview

The Legends is the longer of Gleneagles Country Club's two private 18-hole courses (the other is the Victory), stretching past 7,000 yards from the back tees. Karl Litten designed it in 1985 and Kipp Schulties led a $5 million redesign that reopened in 2011. The course closed for a tees-and-greens renovation in summer 2026 with reopening planned for November 2026; club membership is mandatory for community residents, with capital contributions reported at $110,000-$140,000.

Designer: Karl Litten (1985); renovated by Kipp Schulties (2011)
Opened: 1985
Holes: 18
Forward tees: 4,557 yds
Fairways: Bermuda

⏰ Best times to play: South Florida winter (December-April) is peak season with the busiest tee sheets; summer rounds are hot and humid with frequent afternoon thunderstorms, so early tee times are best.
